The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event is just around the corner, with the date having been confirmed by the Korean tech giant, and the most anticipated product that we strongly expect to see revealed is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. Take a gander below for all the latest release date, specs, and pricing info we have on this upcoming foldable smartphone – almost none of which is confirmed by Samsung at this stage, but which contains a lot of credible guestimates/rumors/leaks.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 release date estimate
There has been no confirmation as to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 release date as of yet, but we can make a fairly educated guess based on what we do know, plus historic trends.
As mentioned, it’s very likely (though still unconfirmed) that the Fold 7 will be launched/unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked Event on the 9th of July, 2025. This is almost the same date as the Z Fold 6, which was unveiled on Wednesday the 10th of July, 2024, and then properly released on the 31st July – another Wednesday, three weeks later. We think there’s a very strong chance that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will follow the same pattern: being unveiled on Wednesday the 9th of July and then properly hit the shelves three weeks later, on Wednesday the 30th July. That’s our prediction – time will tell if it’s accurate!
Galaxy Z Fold 7 specs rumors
Absolutely no details on the new phone have been confirmed by Samsung, other than it will be thinner, lighter, and more durable, so take everything you read below with a hefty pinch of salt. We’ve linked the source of the rumors in each case so you can judge their veracity for yourself. It’s pretty much assumed across the board that the new phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Leaks have asserted that the main camera will be getting an upgrade to the same 200MP as that in some of Samsung’s other phones, thanks to the new, improved sensor. Besides that, the other cameras are expected to remain the same.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 price leaks
Nieuwemobiel, a Dutch news outlet, has reportedly found retail listings for both the upcoming Fold 7 (256GB and 512GB variants) plus the Flip 7, along with the pricing for each model in Pounds Sterling and Euros. The prices mark an increase of around €100-300 over the previous generation (depending on the model), with the original Galaxy Z Fold 6 starting price being €2,000, but the new one seemingly beginning at €2,225. There’s been no news as of yet on the US pricing, but, assuming the figures below are correct, we can probably expect a proportionate increase in USD.
