32,701 points in Time Spy: a (modest?) 15% jump
If we validate the screenshots shown, the GeForce RTX 5080 is credited with a score of 32,701 points in the 3DMark Time Spy benchmark. This represents a 15% increase on the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, which usually tops out at 28,300 points. A respectable gain, even if we were expecting a little more from a generational leap.
Overclocking RTX 5080: up to 34,896 points
In overclocked mode, the RTX 5080 pushes the counters up to 34,896 points. That’s a 6.5% increase on its base score. Not enough to turn graphics upside down, but enough to flatter fans of advanced settings and optimisation.
Still behind the RTX 4090… But not far behind
Despite this performance, the RTX 5080 still lags behind the RTX 4090 with 36,330 points. The difference is 11% compared to the base 5080, but only 4% compared to the overclocked version. Clearly, we’ll have to keep an eye on the custom versions of the RTX 5080 to see how we can really exploit their potential.

Blender: 8% faster than the RTX 4080 SUPER
In Blender, the RTX 5080 outperforms the RTX 4080 SUPER by 8%. A significant improvement for designers, but not revolutionary. We also have some data from Geekbench, again in comparison with the 4080 Super:
- Vulkan test: 15
- OpenCL test: 2.3
Now we come to the pricing of the RTX 5080. The Founders Edition will be priced at €1,190. At this price, the RTX 5080 requires an extra €90 compared with an RTX 4080 SUPER (which can be found for around €1,100). In exchange, it promises a minimum of 15% extra performance and access to DLSS 4. A little bit of optimisation and overclocking should bring it up to the level of an RTX 4090… Can we talk about a ‘good deal’? Perhaps not, but if these figures are confirmed, its positioning will be coherent. Especially as, unlike the RTX 5090, this version should be fairly well distributed under multiple brands and references from January 30.
