Classic Reviews and Remastered Masterpieces
Everything old is new again, as the Video Game History Foundation just uploaded what might be the first ever official reviews of the original Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Bros. games. They were published in Computer Entertainer, and you can now read that publication in it’s entirety, not just these two classic reviews. It is a tour through many of our childhoods, with the first edition published in 1982 in classic ‘zine format.
Try not to spend too much time in reading about nostalgia, when you can try out somewhat remastered versions of both Hexen and Heretic, with full cross-platform multiplayer. If you have these games in your Steam library then you already have access to these updates, otherwise you will have to pick them up. The bundle includes all the original expansions, Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders, Hexen: Beyond Heretic, and Hexen: Deathkings of the Dark Citadel with two brand new chapters developed specially for the re-release called Heretic: Faith Renewed and Hexen: Vestiges of Grandier.
